I work with the most AMAZING people! Surprise Baby Shower!

We were suppose to be having staff meeting this last Wednesday, we have one monthly so I wasn't thinking much about it! So the time came and we had a big salad bar set up, cause we are trying to live healthy! Any ways I didn't think much about it, I did think it was set up nicely with a cute blue table cloth! I also had noticed the doctor I worked for his wife and little girl was there, which I thought maybe they were just coming by the office, they stop by and come see us and grab Dr. Spencer for lunch quite regularly so I just thought they were coming by to see us! Then I remembered he was on ER he wasn't even there, but like I said earlier so didn't think much about it. While I was getting my salad I noticed the napkins, they had cute little baby animals on them and blue and I turned and told the ladies, ah these are cute napkins! Well as soon as I said that they headed back to my managers office and started bringing out gifts like crazy!! Of course I start crying! Then they push out a huge box, they had gotten me a crib with the crib mattress too!!! We ate lunch, played a few really cute games and every one guessed baby Johnson's birthday and weight! Which they are all saying higher 7lbs!! Oh wow haha!! We opened gifts and in my opinion had a great staff meeting!! :)
I seriously work with the most amazing women and doctors! I am so blessed to know all these amazing people! They make me such a better person by their daily examples, we are like a family! I just never ever want to leave, it makes getting that RN ten times harder, because after I test I can't work as an RN in an office, these ladies and wonderful doctors have shaped me into the woman and nurse I am. I tease them we will all be raising him! One of the nurses I work with calls him her grandson! I love it! They said they loved throwing a baby shower, I think the youngest child they have is 8 or so, so it's been a whole since they have had a new baby!!! I am once again so great full for my job, but even more great full for the people I work with. Thank you all again! I love you all!
That night Nate and I put up the crib and organized the room a little more and it was so fun! It's so fun walking by that room and seeing a crib! They had tricked me so well, they got the exact crib we wanted! They are amazing!
I feel bad I wanted to get a picture if everyone and how cute it was set up, but patients started knocking and coming so we had to clean up quick, so I didn't get any pics! I am sad about that!

28 Weeks.. Hello 3rd Trimester!

Wow I remember when I first found out I was pregnant how far away that 3rd trimester was! It seemed like days lasted forever and weeks were even longer, but after that second trimester and life being so busy, my 3rd trimester snuck right up on me and you know that's perfectly fine with me!
We are in prenatal classes and I just love it, And well for Nate he's getting better about it! He thinks he knows all there is about having a baby and babies. Um we will see when it actually happens! We went on our hospital tour last week and it made it seem so real! It has me so excited and anxious to meet our little guy!
Well I feel like I double in size weekly, I hate wearing normal clothes, I love sweats! Even scrubs aren't as comfortable as they used to be. I have about 2 scrub bottoms I like and well tops, only one. But I mostly wear the long solid color modbe top. All my patients are finding out I am pregnant and I think at times they don't dare ask, but it's so round and obvious. I hid it pretty well there for a while with scrub tops, but nope no more hiding! I am still feeling great. I have noticed being a little more tired trough out the day lately, but it also may be because my iron is so low.
I had my 28 week apt with my mom I mean midwife and like I said Iron was low at 35 and so now I am on iron supplements and every excuse to eat steak! Yum! I also had my blood sugar test and my sugar was great at 99! I think that is the best part of going to my mom and all her patients have told me also, instead of going to the hospital and drinking that orange drink, at your 24 week apt you get a snickers almond bar to eat 45 minutes before your 28 week apt to check blood sugar! It was delicious!! So I think that's great! Well baby J is measuring great, moving lots!!
Baby J 's 28 week Stats:
About 17 Inches
Weighing in at about 2.9 lbs
Lungs are still growing
Little boy parts are dropping
More sensitive to stimuli
Has a sleep wake cycle
We love this little guy so much!!! It's becoming so real with everything now. 81 days till my due date! That seems so unreal! Still a few months, but the way time has gone it will be here before we know it!

Diaper Bag!!!!

I finally got a diaper bag! I have been loving the petunia pickle bottom diaper bags, mostly because of the back pack! I have never carried a purse, if I do I forget it so I have loved the back pack idea. I also love the back pack idea because first hand I see how many hands it takes to hold car seat, diaper bag, papers, and the baby. Every time I bring a patient back They struggle with having a enough hands to carry it all! I of course always ask to help, but like I said having a back pack is just so handy! So when I first looked at them I about died at the price!! I have been waiting to see if any sales or anything would happen and the wait was worth it! I got my bag on a great deal! 44% off the original price! They had just come out with some new designs so last years were on sale! I was so happy! It showed up in the mail yesterday and I love it!!! It's so worth the extra money and they are so well made! I am planning on using it for more than one baby so I got red, thats pretty gender neutral. I can't wait to use it!! :)

So if your looking for a diaper bag look at petunia pickle bottom! Petunia.com! I am not sure about the sale any more, but the boxy back packs are amazing! Just don't tell your husband the price!

24-26 Weeks... Wow time is flying!

I can not believe how quick the weeks are going! I am 26 Weeks and I am in shock! I am in my 3rd trimester soon, and the way time is going it will be here before I know it! So much to do!
For spring break we went down to Kanab, while we were there we went on a hike looking for sheds since horse riding is not on the top of the list of things to do while your pregnant which is killing me! But any ways we were hiking and I had my cowboy boots on which was stupid, we were in the sand and some how my foot got caught under a root that had grown into the ground and down I went straight on my stomach! I landed pretty hard on it, I think I probably caught myself more than I think, but I know my stomach still hit hard. So the nice thing is I can just call up my mom and see if its ok! I waited a while and texted her I wasn't cramping or bleeding, just a little FYI. But she saw that and immediately called saying I needed to be checked and get an ultrasound! I have an anterior placenta so it sits right out front so a fall or injury to my stomach is dangerous. So she said just to be safe you need to check in through the ER to get an ultrasound make sure baby is good and my placenta wasn't harmed or bleeding. So knowing everything was most likely ok we went and every thing was good, he was moving like crazy, no contractions, placenta looked great and no bleeding. It's always fun to get a little peek at him! But everything was just fin!e! I am glad we did end up going in, better safe than sorry! Next time maybe the horse ride would be safer than my own two feet! Clumsy!
Well my stomach is still growing like crazy! Every morning I wake up to get in the shower and I swear it gets more round every night! It's so crazy to finally see me with a pregnant belly! I defiantly need to invest in some maternity pants soon! My sister gave me a belly band and it's amazing! Not even having to do up your pants, it's awesome! :) Baby J is still growing and healthy as can be! I am feeling great still! Just enjoying work and this nice weather! Every Tuesday I play city league volleyball and the first week was horrible! I couldn't jump, serve, or even move quick. It was like a bad night mare. By the 2nd week it was much better. I even blocked a few balls and served over every time! Just getting my muscles used to it and my body helped a ton.I think staying as active as possible will help! Even bike riding isn't as easy as it once was!
Baby J's Stats
He is weighing in @ 2lbs
About 12 inches long
His foot is now kicking under my Rt rib
Active most of the day
Learning to open his eyes
Lungs are growing
He can hear us!
I am getting so excited! I have dreams about him and I can't wait to meet him!
We start prenatal classes tomorrow, Nates thrilled! (Not) he is in for some surprises! I hope he doesn't pass out. Wish us luck!

Making time go by quicker!

Since I have become pregnant I have gotten this crafty bug, I want to make things, sew, modge podge, I mean things I have never dreamed I would do, but the one I have newly tried and loved is sewing!!! My mom has an old sewing machine and one Saturday I stopped and got some cute fabric and of course had to ask the lady how much fabric I needed for a receiving blanket, instructions, and all sorts of questions. That poor lady! Any ways I headed over to my moms, Nate works every Saturday so that's when I get to head to Salina! We got my mom's old machine out and it worked like a champ! My mom had to help me with quite a bit of it, but by the end I was so proud of my little blanket. It may not have the straightest lines, but I was quite impressed!
So after that I wanted a sewing machine! Once again I stopped got fabric, this time minky and flannel for a receiving blanket, which the lady cut a ton! It's going to be big enough for him till high school! But it turned out so cute!! And not to mention my sewing skills were improving! I did the blanket all by my self! I loved sewing! I would even dream of sewing! In my sleep I would sew at least 4 blankets!! I was a mess! Finally one night we went to Walmart and Nate said if you get this cheap one I will let you buy it now, I was so happy, but of course I talked him into one 20$ more, a nice singer! It's just basic with nobs, nothing too fancy, just perfect for what I need to do! So that night I was up till midnight sewing! Nate is just as excited as I am about our sewing machine. He loves to help out!
The next day I made a burp cloth and like I said I can't sew very straight, but I defiantly can not cut straight! My biggest weakness! I try so hard, but it's impossible to cut straight! Well I finished my burp cloth and Nate looked at and in a sweet voice said," oh hun we can do better than that" I just laughed and said lets see what you can do! Well Mr. Perfectionist kicked my trash at sewing! Good thing a burp cloth doesn't need to be pretty!!
We have loved our machine! We also sewed some little ties on onesies and planning on a few more receiving blankets and burp cloths! It's a fun hobby when Nates working and I am home. Saves me a trip to Salina! :) I told Nate it was an early Mother's Day present! It's been so fun learning to sew! I love knowing I can do some sort of domestic thing! My mom also loves seeing me get so into sewing! She tried to in high school and I had no interest, but now I love doing it and looking at fabric! Wow pregnancy does some weird things!
Look at the burp cloth picture and you can defiantly tell who's is better!! Nates a pro! :) he rocked it!

22-23 Weeks! I love you 2nd Trimester!

I think just in the matter of 3 weeks my belly popped out like crazy, I am sure the constant eating also helped, but heck I was nauseated and throwing up till 16 weeks so I finally felt good enough to eat and well welcome tight pants, hair tie to do up my pants, and body pillow! I am amazed how quickly my stomach grew. At 20 weeks I didn't even show, I was starting to get a little disappointed but that didn't last much longer! With in 3 weeks my belly button poked out and I was becoming quite noticeable.
This later part of this second trimester has been awesome! I finally have energy, I felt him kick at about 19.5 weeks, and best of all no nausea! He is an active little guy! It's fun having Nate feel him, he kicks pretty hard at times! My little niece and nephew felt him kick and they loved it! They ask me non-stop now, ," Aspen is he kicking you"? They love feeling my stomach and just waiting for a little kick! I think back to that 1st trimester and wow that was the longest weeks of my life! Plus the shopping all the shopping for clothes has become way too much fun!! i need to slow down! its just too fun!

20 Weeks!

Sorry I am just learning how to blog on my phone!! Cute little Baby J :) still defiantly a boy and looks sweet as ever! I can't wait to meet this little guy!

20 Week Ultrasound!!!

I was so excited for our ultrasound!! It was a crazy week the week before with my grandma passing away, so this little bit of excitement is just what I needed. He looked great and healthy!!! My mom and Nate were able to come with me so that was fun! My mom will be delivering my baby boy! Her first grand baby she is going to deliver! It's been so much fun having this opportunity of her caring for me and Baby J! I think she is just as excited as I am! But also very professional!! :) We were able to do 3D ultrasound pictures and Nate hates even people say that ultrasound looks like so and so, but every one I show and when we saw sweet face I am sorry he looks just like a little Nate :) I love it! Here and some pics! Enjoy! No belly pics yet, well because honestly there wasn't one yet!
